If the majority of the fabric of your shirt is in still good condition, then the best way to do is to upcycle it into a DIY pillowcase.

It’s a smart and inexpensive idea that is also super simple to make, and even beginners can try it. It doesn’t require special tools or skills, and you can even finish a pillowcase quickly in just a couple of minutes. Step 1
Lay the shirt flatly and properly on a flat surface, then cut off the sleeves, and flip it over so its backside is facing up.
Step 2
Cut straight through the shoulder, then flip it over to its front side again, and make sure there are no wrinkles.
Step 3
Mark the measurements of the pillow onto the shirt, then cut it out, and stitch all around with ¼ inch seam allowance.
Step 4
Trim off the corners at an angle, then open the buttons, and turn the pillowcase right side out poking the corners nicely.
Step 5
Insert the pillow, then close the buttons, and you’re done!
