One of my favorite projects to make is this one by We Craft Around on YouTube which you can mak using materials from the Dollar Store or Hobby Lobby. It’s a very easy DIY idea that’s perfect even when it’s not Valentine’s Day anymore.

Step 1

Coat the heart shelf sitters with chalk paint on the front and sides, as well as the long table decor design, then set them aside, and let dry completely.

Step 2

Trace the hearts onto the scrapbook paper, then cut them out, and start applying a generous amount of Mod Podge to the front side of the heart shelf sitters.

Step 3

Carefully place the paper heart on top of the Mop Podge layer, then smooth it out with your hands, and let it dry completely.

Step 4

Sand off the excess paper on the edges, then wrap the twine around the middle of the heart a couple of times as shown in the video, and secure the tails with hot glue.

Step 5

Wrap a piece of twine around your fingers about 6 times or so, then wrap a small piece of twine around the middle, and tie the bunch tightly.

Step 6

Make a total of 3 bows, then tie the key to one of them, and glue each of them in individual hearts making sure that the one with the key is with the heart that would go in the center.

Step 7

Hot glue the hearts to the long table decor sign as demonstrated in the video, then make sure to space them out evenly, and let dry completely.
