If you like to go all out for your Fall decorations, then I’m sure you’ll love this DIY idea by Hallmark Channel on YouTube. Instead of just making or purchasing a usual bird feeder, hang them in this DIY scarecrow that you can build on your own or with your family for fun bonding.

Step 1
Install the lawn stakes of your bird hanging kit into the ground, then make 2 holes in your birdhouse for the eyes of the scarecrow and one for the nose, and insert the dowel into the hole for the nose.
Step 2
Secure the dowel with wood glue, then draw the smile of the scarecrow using black paint or a black Sharpie, and then attach the birdhouse to the top of the bird feeding hanging kit as shown in the video.
Step 3
Add burlap to the arms and body of the scarecrow, then use a rope for the belt, and stuff the burlap with straw or hay. Add some straw on the head of the scarecrow as well, then hot glue the straw hat on top of the head, insert the gloves into the arm and hang the bird feeders in each arm.
