You only need a pot holder to make this DIY eyeglass case and the fun thing about this is that you can choose any print or color that you want. Plus, you can design this using embellishments that you might already have available such as broken jewelry, a piece of lace, or some buttons. Learn how now by watching the video tutorial below.
Step 1
The first thing that you have to do is to remove the tab or label close to the edge, then fold the pot holder in half making sure to line up the edges nicely, and clip them in place or pin if you don’t have clips.
Step 2
Keep one end of the piece open preferably the side where the hanging loop is, then stitch it down the original stitching line to the end or corner, and make sure to backstitch at the start and finish.
Step 3
Fit the glasses in the case and if you have larger ones, you might want to stitch closer to the edges to have more space and start attaching your embellishments.
Step 4
You can either hot glue or hand sew the pieces and make sure to remove the back or loops at the top so they lay flat on the fabric.
