Ingredients:

  • 6 cube steaks or round steaks, sliced into pieces, and pounded with a meat tenderizer
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil

Meat Dredging Mixture

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ⅛ tsp paprika

Stir-Fried Veggies

  • 2 medium yellow onions, cut into rings
  • 3 medium carrots, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 3 medium celery ribs, cut into ½-inch circles
  • 1 (14oz) canned diced tomatoes
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp paprika

Directions:

Step 1

Cut the round steak into thin pieces, then pound them well with a meat tenderizer, and set them aside. In a narrow dish, add the flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika, then whisk them all together, and start dredging the steaks until both sides are evenly coated shaking off all the excess. Place a large skillet on a stove over medium-high heat, add a tablespoon of oil, then place the coated steak in batches to not overcrowd the pan, and let them sear for about 3 minutes on each side until nice and golden brown. Transfer the cooked steaks to a plate, then set them aside, and in the same skillet pan, add a tablespoon of cooking oil followed by the chopped carrots, celery, and onion.

Cover the crockpot with the lid, then let them cook over a low setting for about 8 to 10 hours or a high setting for about 6 to 8 hours until the meat and veggies are fork tender.
