Ingredients for Crispy Rice Treats:
- 3 tbsp of butter
- 1 (10 ounces) bag of mini marshmallow
- 5¼ cups of crispy rice cereal
- ½ tsp of blue gel food coloring
- ½ tsp of red gel food coloring
- Melted chocolate, optional
- Sprinkles, optional
How to Make Crispy Rice Treats:
Step 1
Prepare 3 heat-proof bowls, then add 2 cups of marshmallow and 1 tablespoon of butter to each bowl, and microwave the first bowl for 60 seconds. Take it out of the microwave, then mix it well until melted, and quickly mix in ½ teaspoon of blue gel food coloring.
Step 2
Add 1¾ cups of crispy rice cereal to it, then give them a good mix until evenly combined, and transfer it to a baking pan lined with aluminum foil. Spray your hands with oil, then spread the blue rice layer evenly, and repeat the same step for the next layer but with no color this time.
Step 3
For the final layer, repeat the same steps but add red gel coloring, then spread evenly on top of the white layer, and drizzle melted white chocolate if desired, you can also add sprinkles if you want. Set it aside for about 30 minutes or until firm, then peel off the foil, and slice it into bars. Serve and enjoy!
