Materials for Cactus Carnival Quilt:

  • Assorted 10-inch print squares
  • White background fabric
  • Border fabric
  • Binding fabric
  • Backing fabric
  • Heat ‘N Bond
  • Marking pen, pencil, or chalk
  • Ruler
  • Scissors or rotary cutter and a cutting mat
  • Needle and thread
  • Iron, for pressing
  • Cactus carnival template

  • Sewing machine

Step 1

Get the template ready, you can find it here, then take the heat ‘n bond, and trace the shapes onto it before cutting them out. Trace the cutouts onto the print fabrics, then cut them out, and fuse them by pressing them with an iron.

Step 2

Put the pieces together on a background square and assemble them as shown in the video or refer to the pattern guide. Press them down to fuse, then continue to make more blocks, and start putting everything together to finish your quilt. The final step would be to topstitch them however you want.
