This bread-and-butter pizza version is so good and addicting that you might even prefer it over regular pizzas, you can top it with whatever toppings you like, and make it as cheesy as you want. Watch this video tutorial by Food Wishes on YouTube to learn how.
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 450°F, then line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and set it aside. Spread a generous amount of softened butter on both sides of each slice of bread, then place them on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer, and space them evenly.
Step 2
Grate the Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese over each slice of bread, then press them lightly onto the butter so the cheese sticks better, and turn them over so that the cheese side is down.
Step 3
Top each bread with pizza sauce evenly, then place them in the preheated oven, and bake them for about 10 to 12 minutes or until they start to turn golden brown.
Step 4
Top them with mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices or more toppings of your choice, then put them back in the fridge, and let them bake for another 10 to 12 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the bottom is crispy and nicely brown.
