My family always asks me to make this recipe every time we have bananas at home. It’s one of those treats that they surely can’t resist. That’s why I need to prepare two batches just to be sure everyone will not fight for the last piece. To make this toast, you only need 6 ingredients – bananas, butter, sugar, bread, egg, and milk. It’s sweet, buttery, and delicious – the perfect pair for a hot cup of coffee.

For the egg mixture:

Slice the bananas into small pieces.
Place a pan over heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter. Once melted, add the slices of bananas and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Mix and cook for about 3 to 4 minutes or until a little bit browned. Transfer to a plate.
Cut the crust from the bread slices and flatten using a rolling pin. Set aside and make egg mixture by combining the egg, 1 tablespoon of milk, and 1 tablespoon of sugar in a bowl. Beat well.
Add some of the banana mixture to the center of one piece of bread, then brush the sides with the egg mixture. Roll and seal.
Dip each into the egg mixture. Place a pan over heat and add the remaining butter. Once melted, add the rolled bread and cook until golden on all sides. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towel. Sprinkle with more sugar on top and they are ready to serve.
