Ingredients:

  • 4 tsp of cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp of water
  • 5 tbsp of milk
  • 4 tbsp of cooking oil
  • ½ cup of cake flour
  • 5 eggs, separate the white from the yolk
  • ½ tsp of lemon juice
  • 5 tbsp of sugar

Directions:

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, add the milk and cooking oil, then whisk them together until well combined and incorporated, sift over the cake flour, and continue to whisk until fully combined. Separate the egg white from the yolks, then add the yolks into the mixture, and whisk them in until well combined.

Step 2

In a separate bowl, mix together the cocoa powder and water until combined and uniform, then in another bowl add the egg whites and lemon juice, and then beat them together at medium-high speed until foamy. Slowly add the sugar while beating continuously until fluffy and stiff peaks form, then add some of the meringue into the yolk mixture, and give them a good mix before pouring everything into the meringue.

Step 3

Continue to fold and mix them together until incorporated and combined, then dive the batter into two sets evenly, and mix in the chocolate mixture to one of the batters making sure to mix until uniform. Pour the white batter into a greased bundt pan, then spread it evenly before pouring the chocolate batter all over the top, and then spread it evenly.

Step 4

Using a knife or long and thin spatula, swirl the inside of the batter as shown in the video, then place it in a preheated oven at 150C or 300°F, and allow it to bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted at the center comes out clean. Once done baking, tap the cake on the surface, then allow it to cool down a bit before unmolding it upside down in a wire cooling rack, and letting it cool down completely. Serve and enjoy!
