Smoked sausage and mushrooms are definitely a good combination that everyone will surely crave. Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of oil (for frying)
  • 1 piece of onion (diced)
  • 0.5 lb of mushrooms (sliced into thin pieces)
  • 1 lb of smoked sausage (sliced)
  • 3 cloves of garlic (chopped)
  • 0.5 lb of pasta
  • 2 pieces of tomato (diced)
  • 2 cups of chicken broth
  • 0.5 cups of heavy cream
  • salt, black pepper and oregano to taste
  • 4 oz of cheese
  • parsley (optional)

Instructions:

Step 1:

Place a deep pan over heat, then add 2 tablespoons of oil and the diced onion. Fry them or about 1 minute or until softened. Next, add the sliced mushrooms. Mix and cook for about 2 minutes. After that, add the sliced smoked sausage.  Fry them for about 2 minutes. Add the chopped garlic to the pan and let it cook for about 30 seconds while mixing.

Step 2:

Add the uncooked pasta and diced potatoes into the pan. Next pour 0.5 cups of heavy cream and 2 cups of chicken broth. Season it with salt, black pepper and oregano. Mix them well. Cover the pan with the lid and cook for about 15 minutes.

Step 3:

While waiting for the pasta to cook, grate the block of cheese. Then add it on top of the pasta on the pan. Cook for about 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Chop the parsley and sprinkle on top of the pasta. Turn off the heat, then serve on a plate. Enjoy!
