I’ve never had Doubletree chocolate chip cookies, and apparently, they are amazing and I am missing out. However, Doubletree by Hilton shared their official bake-at-home recipe so that anyone can make their cookies in their own kitchens. Honestly, after this tutorial, I need to make this so I can see what the hype is all about and if it follows along with the hype. It’s interesting that a hotel has its own personalized chocolate chip cookie recipe because that means a lot of people like their cookies. Simply Mama Cooks recreates this cookie recipe on her YouTube channel, and it looks super soft baked.
Ingredients:
- 1 stick unsalted butter (softened)
- 3/8 cup and 1/2 Tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 large egg (room temperature)
- 3/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp fresh lemon juice
- 3/8 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 AND 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup rolled oats (I used quick oats)
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- tiny pinch of ground cinnamon
- 1 1/3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3/8 cup chopped walnuts
Directions:
First, cream the butter, sugar, and brown sugar in a bowl with a standing mixer on medium speed for about 2 minutes. Add the eggs, vanilla, and lemon juice, blending with the mixer on low speed for 30 seconds, then medium speed for about 2 minutes. Next, preheat the oven to 300F. Portion the dough with an ice cream scooper, and place onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 20-23 minutes. Let the cookies cool down for about 1 hour before serving.

Honestly, this is an interesting chocolate chip cookie recipe because the baking temperature is different than most recipes I’ve followed. I think the baking process makes this cookie unique, and I can’t wait to try this out for myself.
