Materials:
- two pink 4 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ (fabric A)
- two pink 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ (fabric B)
- two black 4 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ (fabric C)
- two black 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ (fabric D)
- five 4 1/2″ white squares (fabric E)
Directions:
Step 1
To start, cut all the fabric requirements and set them aside. Next, line one fabric B square in the upper left corner of a 4 1/2″ white square, then cut it diagonally. Pin it afterwards. Do the same to the top corner. For the middle block, line up the remaining fabric B and fabric D on opposite corners, wrong side down, then cut diagonally. Sew all four of these blocks, then press them open.

Step 2
Once done sewing, start building the block. Lay the top corner piece with black fabric, followed by a fabric C, then another fabric E white square. For the next row, lay another fabric C, the middle block, then fabric A. For the final row, lay the last fabric E white square, fabric A, then the corner piece with pink fabric. Sew them by rows, then sew those rows together to complete the block.
