I just got a new armchair for the living room and it is super cozy, the only thing it does not have is an ottoman or pouf as some call them. I really couldn’t spend any more money so I went searching on Youtube to find something I could make and low and behold, I found the perfect ottoman pouf that I could make for under Ten Dollars! I couldn’t wait to get started so I went to the hardware store and to the fabric store to get my materials.
Materials:
- 4 (2″x 2″) Battons Of Wood
- 5 pieces of plywood 1 piece (450 x 450) and 4 pieces (430 x 120)
- Stain
- Wood Glue
- 1 Yard Of Fabric
- 6 inch thick foam (450 x 450)
- 1 yard of batting
- Foam
- 4 Buttons
Directions:
Sand and stain your four (2″ x 2″) pieces of wood
Then cut your plywood
Then you nail your smaller pieces of plywood together making a square, then glue the top on with wood glue
Then you just screw in your legs to your beautiful ottoman pouf
Then glue your foam onto the plywood seat and add your batting to the sides and smooth over
Then you just add your fabric and tuft your ottoman according to the instructions in the video. This DIY pouf ottoman is cuter than I could have possibly hoped for and it was under Ten Dollars! The perfect Ottoman for the perfect price, I am so happy, I love this project so much I made one for my Mom to use as a chair when she waters her plants in her new sunroom, she loves it also.
