Materials:

  • broken or unused tiles
  • sand
  • cement
  • water
  • paint

Directions:

Step 1

Fill up a bucket with sand. Pound it with wood to make the sand intact at the bottom of the bucket. Next, place plastic on top of the bucket filled with sand then flip it on a surface. Gently and slowly remove the bucket, leaving the formed sand on the surface. After this, spray some water on the sand, then apply cement to it. (Make sure to cover the sand entirely with cement, this will be the pot frame.) In a separate bucket, mix cement with water to form a cement paste. Use this paste to attach the broken tiles to the pot frame. After filling the pot frame with broken tiles, fill the gaps with cement paste, then wipe the tiles off of the cement. Leave it for 24 hours to dry.

Step 2

Continue to apply tiles on top but this time, apply only four on the edges (this will serve as the stands of the pot). Also, make a hole at the bottom center. Next, take out the sand and wash the pot to clean it. After this, put tiles on the rim and paint some acrylic paint on the gaps to make the pot prettier. Your flower pot is now ready.
