This DIY Christmas reindeer ornament by Tammi Craft on YouTube is an inexpensive Christmas project to make as a decoration for the tree. It’s super cute, easy, and quick to make the bulk of these. I know ornaments can get expensive, especially the ones that are figures and designs. So, making your own ornaments for the fraction of the price is worth it. Plus, it gives a nice personalized and customized feeling to the Christmas tree. It would be a great gift to make for someone if you made a set of these with other ornament ideas too.

Supplies:

  • ping pong ball
  • bead
  • pipe cleaner
  • glitter
  • mod podge
  • brush
  • wire
  • skittle candy (for the nose)
  • nail polish
  • hot glue gun
  • scissors

Directions:

First, attach the bead to the ping pong ball, and loop a wire through the bead. Apply Mod Podge onto the ping pong ball, and then apply the glitter. Shake off the excess glitter, and seal with another coat of mod podge. Allow it to dry overnight.

Overall, I think the reindeer ornaments are a perfect size, and you can buy packs of ping pong balls to make a good amount of these to go on your Christmas tree. Also, this ornament doesn’t have to go on the tree, it can be a Christmas decoration to add and hang anywhere in the house. It’s a simple project to follow along, and the steps are shown on the screen throughout the video too. I think this is a creative budget-friendly DIY holiday project.
