In this step-by-step tutorial, Tatzkreen Art shows how to transform a humble towel into a cuddly companion that is perfect for gifting or decorating your guest bathroom. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or a total newbie to DIY projects, you’ll surely enjoy doing this DIY without breaking the bank. Watch the video tutorial below to learn how to make this, or continue reading down for the full written instructions.

Materials:

  • bath towel
  • ribbon
  • elastic band
  • yarn
  • scissors

Directions:

Step 1

Grab a towel and roll either side (longer edges) until it meets halfway. Next, fold it in half, with the roll crease outside, leaving a small space at the bottom for the feet. After this, unroll the top, up to the sides (this will be the arms), then secure the shape with elastic bands.

Step 2

Once done, grab two more elastic bands and create an ear shape on both upper sides of the bear’s body. Now, tie a ribbon to define the head of the bear. (You can also use this opportunity to hide the elastic band you put in earlier.) Lastly, remove the elastic bands that help shape the ears and replace them with yarn to make the project more neat and pretty. Repeat these steps to create more bath towel teddy bears.

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
