In a bowl, combine the lemon zest and sugar. Next, mix in the butter and oil.
Add the eggs into the mixture one by one until well incorporated, then the lemon juice.
Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt directly over the mixture and mix until well combined.
Mix in the milk, making sure to scrape down the sides of the bowl.
Transfer the mixture onto a cake mold lined with baking paper. Place inside the oven and bake at 320F for 40 to 50 minutes. Once done baking, allow it to cool in the mold, then remove and place over a wire rack.
Make the frosting. In a bowl, add the powdered sugar, lemon juice, and milk. Beat until smooth.
Pour the frosting on the cake. Slice and serve. Enjoy!
