This chicken fried steak and gravy shared with us by Smokin’ & Grillin’ wit AB is a delicious country-fried steak that is a good confidence builder for new cooks. It is a filling meal that is perfect for enjoying on a Friday night with your friends and family. Good food with good company.

Prepare all the needed ingredients.
Combine all the dry ingredients with a whisk in a large mixing bowl. Whisk all the ingredients until well incorporated.
In a separate bowl, combine all the wet ingredients. Mix all the ingredients until well–combined. Grab the cube steak and coat all the sides with the flour mixture.
Shake off the excess flour and drop it into the wet ingredient mixture. Make sure that the steak is completely submerged. Place the steak back in the flour mixture and coat well. Shake off the excess flour and drop it back into the wet ingredient mixture. And finally, coat it back in the flour mixture.
Repeat with the other steak slices.
Pour a generous amount of oil into a heated pan and heat it to 350°F. Fry the steaks for about 4 minutes on each side.
Once fried, let it cool on a cooling rack. Cook the rest of the steaks.
Preheat the oven to 225F and keep the steak in there to stay warm until you finish making the gravy.
Strain the used oil into a measuring cup.
In a heated pan, cook the gravy, starting with the strained used oil and the rest of the gravy ingredients. Whisk continuously and season with salt and pepper. Transfer the sauce to a sauce container.
Serve the chicken on platters and pour in the delicious gravy sauce.
