I was looking for coconut dessert recipes and stumbled across this recipe video. I thought I should give it a try as the thumbnail looks delicious, and it surely did not disappoint. Easy Chewy Coconut Bars Ingredients
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 1 1/2 cups of light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 cup of flour
- 1 1/2 cups of coconut flakes
How to Make Chewy Coconut Bars
Step 1:
Add the butter to a pan over heat and let it melt. Keep on stirring until browned.
Step 2:
While warm, add the light brown sugar and salt. Mix until well combined.
Step 3:
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing after every addition.
Step 4:
Add the baking powder, vanilla extract, and flour. Mix until well incorporated.
Step 5:
Stir in the coconut flakes.
Step 6:
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper and spray with cooking spray. Transfer the mixture and spread evenly.
Step 7:
Place inside the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 350F. Let it cool before cutting into bars. Serve and enjoy.
