When I was younger, I would often walk down to the corner store with my older brother and buy a soda. I remember that every time I would go, I always hoped that they would have my favorite cherry soda in stock, but unfortunately most of the time they wouldn’t. For years I looked for my favorite cherry red beverage, coming with the terms that I would never taste the sweet yet tart flavor of any drink ever again. When I found this recipe for cherry pie moonshine, I knew I had to make it! I rushed to the grocery store to gather ingredients:

Ingredients for Cherry Pie Moonshine:

  • 32 oz of tart cherry juice
  • 2 15 oz cans dark cherries in heavy syrup
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 Cups Everclear, Grain alcohol

Step One

Pour the cheery juice, cans of cherries and syrup, and the sugar into the instant pot and use the sauté feature to warm the mixture. When you see that all of the sugars are dissolved, cover the pot and cook on high pressure for 45.

Step Two

Once finished cooking, let cool for at least 20 minutes before adding the everclear. If you want, put moonshine in mason jar to keep for later, gift to others, or drink directly out of.

How to Make Cherry Pie Moonshine

I’ve made a few different kinds of moonshine at home, and I really love this one because it has moonshine soaked cherries in it, which are my absolute favorite part of this drink recipe. I hope you love it as much as I do.
