The fun thing about holidays is the snacks. There are plenty of treats at home to munch on. If you have a sweet tooth, this is the time of the year when you always have candies to satisfy your cravings. One of the recipes I highly recommend is this caramel nut bar recipe by N’Oven – Cake & Cookies.

It is very easy to make and only requires a couple of ingredients. You only need butter, almond, cashew nut, pistachio, sugar, and water. The rich and sweet flavors of caramelized sugar blend perfectly with the nuts. These bars are not overly sweet and have the perfect crunch and texture. Make sure to try them at home.

Grease parchment paper with oil. Set aside for later.
Place a pan over heat, then add 1 teaspoon of butter. Once the butter has melted, add 1/4 cup of sliced almonds, 1/4 cup of cashew nuts, and 3 tablespoons of pistachios. Roast for 2 minutes on low heat, then transfer to a plate, then set aside.
In the same pan, add one cup of sugar and one tablespoon of water. Mix, then spread evenly. Let it come to a boil. Once you have some color, mix it and continue cooking until it has a light golden color.
Add the roasted nuts and mix. Cook for 30 seconds.
Transfer the nut mixture to the prepared parchment paper then spread evenly in a thin layer. Let it cool for 10 minutes.
Once it cools, cut it into squares. Let it cool for 10 minutes more. Break it into pieces, then serve. Enjoy!
