This recipe only requires a little bit of preparation and it’s ready to go inside the oven. Add the chicken pieces in a large bowl. Season with cajun seasonings and toss to coat. Next, add 1 teaspoon of onion powder, 1 tablespoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 tablespoon of smoked paprika. Mix to coat.
In a different bowl, add the cream of chicken, cream of onion, and cream of mushroom. Mix well.
Spray a baking dish with baking spray. Take half of the chopped onions and spread them out, along with the bell peppers and minced garlic.
Start placing the seasoned chicken in one layer over the veggies.
Pour the chicken in the corners of the baking dish, making sure not to remove the seasonings from the chicken.
Transfer the cream mixture on top of the chicken. Gently spread using the back of the spoon.
Sprinkle the chopped onions, bell peppers, and butter on the top.
Cover with the foil and place in a 375F oven for 45 minutes.
After that, remove the foil. Mix 1 tablespoon of smoked paprika and 1 teaspoon of chili powder and add put in the pockets of the sauce. Slightly mix it, then spoon the gravy over the top of the chicken. Turn the oven to 400F and place it back uncovered. Cook for 20 minutes.
