I’ve made many blueberry pies in my time, but I had never heard of Blueberry Pie Moonshine until today when my friend sent me this recipe. Since I adore anything containing blueberries or blueberry flavoring so I knew I had to try it immediately. My Sister has some blueberry bushes and just loaded me down with a small crate of blueberries so I was super pleased when I found this recipe, now bear in mind this recipe calls for bottled orange juice, but you can use freshly pressed orange juice as well, but you will want to make sure and add freshly picked blueberries to your mixture, whichever you prefer is fine. I started my moonshine by getting all my ingredients together.

Ingredients:

  • 5 cups of fresh blueberries
  • 6 Cups Everclear or Moonshine
  • 4 cups of orange juice
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 cups (32 ounces) of Moonshine or Everclear
  • 1 cup Whipped Cream Vodka (optional)

Directions:

Place orange juice, blueberries, sugar, and cinnamon in a saucepan and cook over a low to medium heat, stirring constantly until a thick syrup is formed. Then strain the blueberry mixture through cheesecloth laid inside a colander.

Then add Everclear or Moonshine to your thick succulent blueberry syrup and stir in. Then just add that mixture to your Mason Jars with blueberries at the bottom.
