Since the weather is getting warmer, it is time for easy and delicious salad recipes. Today, I am sharing the best tuna and avocado salad recipe I have ever made at home. The flavors are incredible. I can’t count how many times I have made this salad for breakfast. I learned about this recipe through The Cooking Foodie on YouTube. Since I love eating avocadoes, I always search for different recipes I can make with them, and I am so glad I stumbled across this video a few years ago.

I absolutely love how simple this recipe is. For the salad, you will only need avocado, cucumber, tuna, onion, cilantro, and tomatoes. For the dressing, you only need 4 ingredients – olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. I promise it will turn out really good. You don’t need a lot of ingredients to make a delicious dressing at home. Try it, and I am sure it will be your favorite.

Easy Tuna and Avocado Salad Ingredients

For the salad:

  • 2 large or 3 small ripe avocadoes
  • 1 large cucumber
  • 3 cans of tuna (drained)
  • 1/2 red onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1/4 bunch cilantro (chopped)
  • 10 to 12 cherry tomatoes (halved) or 1 large diced tomato

For the dressing:

  • 1 to 2 tablespoons of high-quality olive oil
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

How to Make Tuna and Avocado Salad

Step 1:

Drain the tuna using a strainer. Using a fork press the tuna to remove the excess oil, then transfer to a bowl.

Step 2:

Slice the avocado into cubes and add to the tuna.

Step 3:

Thoroughly wash the cucumber. Slice in half, then thinly slice into half circles. Add to the bowl, followed by the cherry tomatoes, onion, and cilantro.

Step 4:

In a small bowl, make the dressing. Add the lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Pour the dressing over the salad and toss to combine.
