Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F and grease your baking dish with some nonstick cooking spray. Set it aside. Next, in a bowl, combine 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 tbsp granulated sugar, 1 tbsp aluminum-free baking powder, and 1 tbsp dried ranch seasoning. Mix well, then add 1 3/4 cups buttermilk. Continue mixing until a sticky dough forms, then add 1 cup of freshly shredded cheddar cheese and eight slices of cooked and crumbled bacon. Fold them in completely.

Now, pour 1/2 cup melted salted butter on your baking dish, then transfer in the dough. Work the dough out, pushing it to the bottom, as well as the corners of the baking dish (make sure the top of the dough is coated with the butter as well). Once done, cut the dough into smaller bite-size squares right into the baking dish. Place it in the preheated 450 degrees F oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
