Most of the sauce for salads only has mayonnaise, but this amazing dressing is different. It is made from mayo, greek yogurt, honey, and apple cider vinegar. Ingredients:

  • 6 cups of fresh broccoli crowns
  • 1/2 cup or 6 slices of bacon (cooked and crumbled)
  • 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese (diced)
  • 1/4 cup of finely chopped red onion
  • 1/4 cup of sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cup of raisins (golden or purple, optional)

For the crumbled bacon, you can buy a store-bought, pan fry fresh bacon, or bake your bacon.

For the sauce:

  • 1 cup of mayonnaise
  • 1 cup of plain greek yogurt (honey vanilla yogurt preferred)
  • 3 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar

Instructions:

Step 1:

Thoroughly wash the broccoli crowns and place them in a large bowl. Then add the 1/2 cup of bacon crumbles, 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese, 1/4 cup of finely chopped onion, 1/4 cup of sunflower seeds, and 1/4 cup of raisins. Toss all ingredients together to combine.

Step 2:

Make the sauce in a separate bowl. Stir 1 cup of mayonnaise, 1 cup of plain yogurt, 3 tablespoons of honey, and 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar together. Combine until well blended and smooth.

Step 3:

Pour the sauce mixture over the broccoli salad and stir all ingredients until fully coated.

Step 4:

This bacon broccoli salad can be served right away but it’s best to place it first on the fridge and refrigerate for 2 hours.
