  • two (28-ounce) cans of Bush’s best original baked beans (drained)
  • one pound of ground beef (cooked)
  • one small onion (chopped)
  • one bell pepper (diced)
  • 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar
  • 1/3 bottle BBQ brown sugar honey habanero glaze
  • 3/4 cup sweet BBQ sauce
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons of sweet BBQ rub
  • mustard to taste
  • 4 pieces of bacon

How to Make Pit-Style BBQ Baked Beans

Step 1:

Stoke your grill of choice with royal oak charcoal hardwood pellets and fir it up to 250F.

Step 2:

In a large aluminum pan, add the two cans of drained baked beans and cooked ground beef. Stir until well combined.

Step 3:

Add the chopped onion, diced bell pepper, 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar, brown sugar honey habanero glaze, 3/4 cup of sweet BBQ sauce, and mustard.
