This chicken noodle soup recipe by Cooking With Jack Show on YouTube is perfect for those that are lazy to cook a complex meal. It’s an easy recipe to follow and it’s a one-pot recipe where you throw everything in the pot. If you want a quick soup recipe, this is a great video to follow along with that is made with fresh ingredients. It’s hearty, healthy, and cozy for the cold weather or days when you’re feeling under the weather. There’s nothing tricky to make this chicken noodle soup, but it is simple to make. I love how there’s a lot of seasonings in this recipe which makes it unique. I love adding fresh herbs such as cilantro to top it off in the end.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • ½ cup sliced celery
  • ½ cup diced onion
  • 8 cups low-sodium chicken broth (or bone broth)
  • 2 chicken breasts, cooked and shredded (I use this recipe)
  • 3 cups egg noodles
  • ½ teaspoon dry basil
  • ½ teaspoon dry oregano
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Directions:

First, melt butter in a pot over medium heat. Add the celery, carrots, onions and cook until tender for about 5 minutes. Add the chicken broth, shredded chicken, oregano, noodles, basil, salt, garlic powder, and pepper. Stir to combine.

Next, bring to a boil then reduce heat and let it simmer for about 20-25 minutes before serving.

Overall, I love chicken noodle soup, and it’s great to find different recipes because they all consist of the same ingredients but different techniques. I’m always looking for easy ways to cooking because I have days where I am lazy. Especially for days that I’d want to make soup, it’s probably cold outside. This is way better than soup in a can.
