I’ve always been on a Flamin’ Hot Cheetos kick so whenever I find cool recipes like making mozzarella sticks coated in Hot Cheetos, I’m drawn. This recipe by Vanilla Caramel on YouTube gives a different twist because of the sweet condensed milk sauce. Apparently, it gives off the perfect sweet and savory balance that I cannot wait to try. This would be a great snack for adults and kids, however, some people may find Hot Cheetos too spicy for them. This is a unique way to make Flamin’ Hot Cheetos mozzarella sticks because of the way it’s prepared. In the end, if you don’t want to brush the fried mozzarella sticks in sweet condensed milk, skip it. I think it would be nice to try it out and I’ve never seen a recipe where they used condensed milk to hold the Hot Cheetos powder in the end. Usually, some recipes fry the Hot Cheetos powder in the oil, but I’m glad it’s fresh instead.
First, put the Hot Cheetos puff in a zip-lock bag and crush them up until it’s a fine powder. Then, cut the edges of your bread and roll them flat. Cut off any extra bread and make a square shape. Dip the mozzarella stick in flour and brush egg wash along the edges.
Next, roll the mozzarella stick and bread together and use a fork to press the ends. Freeze them up to 1-2 hours before frying.
Overall, the cheese pull in the video by Vanilla Caramel from the mozzarella stick is a success. I’ve seen numerous videos on how to make Flamin’ Hot Cheetos mozzarella sticks, but this one is my favorite because of its own unique twist.
