Easy Mushroom Stroganoff Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of vegan butter
  • 1/2 onion (finely diced)
  • 17.6 oz of mushroom (sliced) – use any type of your choice
  • 2 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • pasta of choice
  • 3 tablespoons of plain flour
  • 2 cups of vegetable stock
  • 1 teaspoon of parsley
  • 1 teaspoon of thyme
  • 1 tablespoon of vegan Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup of vegan sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon of mustard (optional)

How to Make Mushroom Stroganoff

Step 1:

Boil a pot of water.

Step 2:

Place a pan over medium to high heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add finely diced onion and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until it becomes soft and starts to brown.

Step 3:

Add sliced mushrooms, then season with salt and pepper. Mix well. Cook the mushrooms down for a few more minutes until they begin to soften.

Step 4:

Mix in the garlic and cook for a few more minutes.

Step 5:

Once the water is boiling, add the pasta and cook based on the package instructions. Strain once cooked.

Step 6:

Step 7:
