One thing that’s great about plastic bottles is that they’re convenient because you can bring them anywhere and products that come in these packages are usually cheaper, of course, that would still depend on the brand and the quality of the plastic bottle itself.

#1: DIY Candle Holder/Stand

Cut out the top part of a small plastic bottle about 2 to 3 inches away from the neck, then do the same with a larger bottle, and hot glue their caps together. Stick the candle inside one of the openings, this can help protect your hands from wax drippings, and you can also place the candle on any flat surface without worrying about it falling over.

#2: DIY Mug Holder/Organizer

Find a bottle that’s about the same diameter as your mugs, then cut the top part of the bottle, and cut a strip along the middle of the bottle about ¼ to ½ inch. Insert your mug down the bottle with the handle propped between the slit, then stack the remaining mugs. This will also make relocating or arranging your mugs easier.

#3: DIY Outdoor Switch Protector

Get a plastic bottle that’s about the same size as your switch or at least able to cover it entirely, then cut the top part of the bottle, and attach it to the wall making sure the switch will not be more protected from moisture, you can also reach the switch easily through the mouth of the bottle.

#4: DIY Fruit Picker

Mark a hole on the bottom part of the plastic bottle making sure it’s about the same size as the fruit, then cut it out, and insert a stick through the mouth of the bottle. Nail or screw it in place as shown in the video, then use it to pick ripe fruits from tall trees easily.

#5: DIY Dish Rack

If you need a temporary dish rack while you still don’t have one or when your outdoors, then find a large plastic gallon, cut strips on one side of its body alternately as shown in the video, and cut a small hole on the top part of the gallon making sure it’s the same size as the mouth of a small plastic bottle. Cut off the neck of the small bottle and transfer it to the hole in the gallon, then place your dishes in the body of the bottle and your utensils in the small hole as demonstrated in the video.
