How to Defrost a Turkey Quickly

Step 1:

Keep the turkey in the packaging. Take a large pot and place the turkey breast side down for best results.

Step 2:

Fill the pot with cool water until it’s completely submerged. It’s tempting to use hot water, but make sure you don’t.

Step 3:

If your turkey floats, make sure to weigh it down. You can place a baking pan on top of the turkey and a large can of tomatoes or anything you have on hand to weigh it down. If you don’t have a pot that is big enough for your turkey, you can use your sink or your cooler. Just make sure to disinfect your cooler afterward.
