Cream Cheese Mixture

  • (8 oz) block of cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp of powdered sugar

Brownie Mixture

  • (16.5 oz) box of banana cake mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup of walnuts, chopped
  • ¼ cup of vegetable oil
  • ½ cup of milk
  • 12 vanilla wafers

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F, then add the cream cheese to a medium-sized mixing bowl, and whisk it until soft and creamy. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar, then keep whisking until combined, and set the mixture aside.

Step 2

In another medium-sized mixing bowl, add the banana cake mix, eggs, walnuts, and oil, then pour in the milk, and give them a good whisk until incorporated. Grease a 10×9-inch baking dish with butter, then pour in the cake mix, and spread it evenly.

Step 3

Pour the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter, then swirl it around as demonstrated in the video, and place it in the oven making sure to keep the tray in the middle rack. Let it bake for about 15 minutes, then remove it from the oven, and quickly press down the vanilla wafers arranging them nicely.

Step 4

Put it back in the oven and let it bake for another 10 to 12 minutes, then transfer the baking dish to a wire rack, and let the brownies cool completely. Put it in the refrigerator, then let it chill until ready to serve, and cut it into squares. Serve and enjoy!
