Whether your toaster oven suffered a cooking mishap or you simply haven’t cleaned it for a while, one thing it needs right now is some good deep cleaning. Deep cleaning may be an intimidating word, but it’s not a difficult task as long as you know the right products and steps to do.

Step 1
The most important thing that you have to do is to make sure to unplug your unit and that it is cool before cleaning, then take out the removable parts, and get rid of the burnt bits by wiping or scrubbing it.
Step 2
Choose the right cleaner for your toaster oven, it depends on what works best and quicker for you. You can also DIY but make sure not to use vinegar and baking soda together because they neutralize each other.
Step 3
If cleaning with baking soda, make sure to make a paste by mixing it with water, then scrub the toaster oven with it, and rinse it clean. Spray it with vinegar to remove the odor and then wipe it dry.
Step 4
For the removable parts such as the rack, you can soak it in warm water with Dawn dish soap while cleaning the toaster oven, then scrub off all the grease. Rinse and wipe them dry, then reassemble.
