Plain biscuits are already good but even better when baked in melted butter. The crust is crispy and buttery, and the inside is soft and light.
I’ve made this recipe by Southern Gentleman’s Table several times, and it always comes out delicious. Everybody loves it as it’s so buttery and delicious. You can taste the butter in each bite –definitely better than the plain ones. Serve it for breakfast with your favorite spread and drink.

Start by preheating your oven to 450F.
In a medium bowl, add the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Whisk all the ingredients together.
Add the buttermilk and stir until mostly combined. Make sure not to overwork the batter.
Get an 8×8 inch baking dish and pour the melted butter.
Transfer the dough to the baking dish on top of the butter. Spread evenly using a spatula or your hands.
Cut the unbaked dough into 9 squares.
Place inside the preheated oven and bake for 28 minutes or until golden brown on top.
Once done baking, allow the butter to be absorbed into the biscuits before you cut it. Serve and enjoy!
