There are two styles of cooking chow mein – deep-fried crispy noodles and stir-fried noodles. This stir-fried version is the same as the one served in Panda Express. So, if you love their chow mein, you will surely like this one as well. Everyone in your family will surely love this dish, even the kids. For the chicken
For the stir fry:
Add the sliced chicken to a bowl. Season with pepper and soy sauce. Mix until well-coated. Set aside to marinate.
Fill a pot with water and let it come to a boil. Once boiling, add the chow mein noodles and cook for about 2 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Pour oil into a wok over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken until it’s browned for about 4 to 5 minutes.
Add the carrots and onions, then stir fry for a couple of minutes over medium-high heat.
Add the red bell peppers and spring onions and fry for a couple of minutes.
Toss the noodles in and season with soy sauce and pepper. Stir fry until heated.
Transfer to a plate and garnish with sesame oil, green onions, and sesame seeds. Serve and enjoy!
