Don’t be fooled by how the designs look. The block is not as difficult as you think. In fact, it is actually easy to make. I’m pretty sure you’ll be surprised to know that they are just half-square triangles. If you already made half-square triangles before, you won’t have a hard time finishing this quilt project. Lay the strips together, alternating the 2-inch strips and 1 1/2-inch strips to make a unit. Sew them together. Press it flat.
Cut the unit strip into 9 1/2″ squares. Rotate one square and place it on top of the other right sides together. Pin it in place and sew on all sides.
Cut the square in half diagonally in both directions. Press each half-square triangle open. Trim off excess if there are any.
