Throw Size:
Subcut the background yardage into four 5″ x WOF strips, then cut thirty-two 5″ squares into those strips. Next, with the background yardage again, subcut three 14″ x WOF strips, then cut those strips into eight 14″ squares. Now, select five print 5″ squares and four background 5″ squares. With these, create your nine-patch block. Sew them by rows, then sew those rows together to create the block. Once completed, the nine-patch should measure 14″, the same size as your large background square. Repeat these steps until you have made enough for the quilt size you’ve selected.
Once done, lay your quilt top. Start with a nine-patch then a background 14″ square. Alternate them until you finished laying out all the pieces. After this, sew them in rows, then sew those rows together to finish the quilt top.
