DIY Solution:
- 1/2 cup of baking soda
- 1/2 cup of vinegar (or lemon juice)
- a couple of fresh lemon slices (or more)
Directions:
Step 1
To start, fill a large bucket with warm water. Next, add 1/2 cup of baking soda, 1/2 cup of vinegar, and a couple of freshly squeezed lemon slices. Mix well. After this, soak your whites into the bucket (you can add more lemon slices and vinegar if you feel like your whites are not being properly soaked in.) Place the bucket in direct sunlight and let it sit for two to five hours.

Step 2
After five hours, drain the bucket and wring your whites to remove excess water. You can put them in the washer for an extra wash with no soap, just to properly get all the water out, then put them in your dryer and you’re done!
