This cube is multi-purpose and can be used in many different ways, plus, it is also anti-bacterial and leaves a fresh scent on your bathroom or kitchen sink.

Materials:

  • Lemon
  • Salt
  • Dish soap
  • Measuring cup
  • Spoon
  • Blender or food processor
  • Ice cube mold

Directions:

Step 1

Cut a lemon in half, then discard the seeds, and chop the lemon into small pieces. Place the chopped lemon in a blender or food processor, then pour in some water just until the lemon is covered, and sprinkle about 2 tablespoons of salt. Cover and shake them well, then pulse them until smooth, and pour them in a measuring cup making sure to use a strainer. Press it well to extract all of the juice and discard the strained pulp pieces.

Step 2

Next, add a drop of dish soap, and stir them until well combined. Pour them into the ice cube mold evenly, then place them in the refrigerator, and allow them to freeze completely. Place a cube on the sink, then let hot water run through it, and do this process at least twice a week. You can also use this to wash dirty and greasy pans or plastic plates. Dump a couple of cubes in the toilet tank as well for a fresher scent whenever you flush.
