This is definitely the best air fryer chicken breast I have ever made at home. I discovered this recipe by Joe Duff – The Diet Chef on Youtube and instantly tried it. At first, I did not believe you could make it juicy and tender in just 8 minutes, but it turned out you could. It was so flavorful and moist! This is the best meal choice if you want something easy and quick to prepare.

Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 5 minutes.
While the air fryer is warming up, add the chicken breast to a large plastic bag. Use a meat tenderizer to tenderize the chicken. Make sure not to skip this step to get tender chicken. If you don’t have one, you can use a rolling pin, bottle of wine, or something heavy. It should be half an inch thick. Next, use a fork to poke holes into your chicken.
Put the first chicken in a ziplock bag followed by your marinade. While it’s marinating, make your dry rub. In a small bowl, combine 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder, 1/4 teaspoon of garlic salt, 1/4 teaspoon of onion powder, 1/4 teaspoon of paprika, 1/8 teaspoon of cinnamon, and freshly cracked black pepper. Mix well, then rub into the other chicken until well coated on both sides.
Place the chicken inside the air fryer basket and cook for 4 minutes at 400F. After that, flip the chicken and cook the other side for another 3 to 4 minutes. You want the internal temperature to reach 162 degrees Fahrenheit. Once done, let it rest for just a few minutes before you cut them.
