This adorable project idea by Miarti – Creative ideas on YouTube is super easy to make and uses only an old stocking and sock. It’s very sweet and lovely, and it will surely make a great gift to a loved one, or keep it as decor if you want. You can also add some loops at the top and hang them on your tree for the holidays. Learn how to make one in as fast as 10 minutes with this video tutorial.
Step 1
Fill the stockings with some cotton, then shape it into a small ball, and sew the ends securely before cutting it off really close to the stitching. Make another ball of the same size, then make a really small one for the nose later, and set them aside. Sew and gather the stockings about 1.5 inches from the top edges, then fill the stockings, and sew the other edge close to hold the filling in place.

Step 2
Tie the thread around the middle of the filled stocking to separate the head from the body, then pull the thread down the middle of the bottom part of the body to make the legs, and tie it in place securely. Next, sew the small ball for the nose to the face, then sew the black beads for the eyes, and using a black thread, sew the eyelashes, eyebrows, and mouth.
Step 3
Cut off the toe part and cuff of the sock, then wear it to the doll as shown in the video, and sew the seams nicely to the legs. Sew around the neck as well, then trim the excess stocking poking out of the doll’s head, and create a fringe. Now, sew the 2 balls to the doll for the arms, then tie the ribbon or string around the neck, cut off the excess, and knot the ends of each tail. Add some blush to the cheeks of the doll and you’re done!
