My family always asks me to make this southern-style fried cabbage recipe by Smokin’ & Grillin With AB. I can’t blame them because it’s really delicious. It’s super simple to make and has tons of amazing flavors because of the sausage, bacon, garlic, and creole seasoning. You can serve it with cornbread, mashed potatoes, grilled chicken, or vegetables. Read on or watch the video below for full instructions.

Place a pot over medium flame and add butter. Once melted, add the chopped bacon and cook until crispy. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towel to remove excess oil. Set aside.
In the same pan, add the chopped onions and saute until soft. Next, add the chopped yellow and green bell pepper and cook for a few minutes.
Add the cut smoked andouille sausages into the pan with the vegetables. Mix until well combined then cook for a few minutes, then bring back the bacon pieces. Let the ingredients release their flavors.
Add minced garlic and two tablespoons of creole seasoning. Mix until well combined.
Put the chopped cabbage and mix all ingredients. Cover with the lid and let it steam. Cook until your preferred texture is achieved. Season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Mix until well incorporated. Take a taste test and make adjustments if needed.
