Materials:

  • Baking soda
  • Vinegar
  • Water
  • Spray bottle
  • A small mixing bowl
  • An old toothbrush
  • Microfiber cloth

Directions:

#1: Window Sills and Door Tracks

In a clean spray bottle, add equal parts of vinegar and water, then add some dish soap, and give it a good shake to combine. Sprinkle some baking soda all over the window sill, then spray the solution, and allow it to sit for a few seconds. Grab the toothbrush, then start scrubbing the window sill, and wipe it clean with a microfiber cloth or clean rag.

#2: Sticky Grease and Gunk on Stovetop

In a large mixing bowl, pour an entire small packet of baking soda, then add a little bit of water, and stir them together until you have a paste. Apply the paste all over the grease, then leave it for a few minutes, and wipe the stovetop clean.

#3: Toilet Bowl Stain

#4: Chopping Board

Mix together the baking soda and freshly squeezed lemon juice together in a small bowl until well combined, then apply it all over the chopping board making sure to cover the stains nicely, and scrub them away. Rinse and wipe it clean.

#5:  Clothes Stains

Sprinkle baking soda all over the stained area, then add water, and allow it to bubble and fizzle which means it’s working. After a few minutes, wash the shirt or cloth as usual, rinse, and hang or machine dry. This is most effective if the stains are treated early rather than dried ones.

#6: Glue-Stuck Fingers

Sprinkle an ample amount of baking soda all over the stuck fingers, then gently move the fingers together in opposite directions and back and forth motion while applying more baking soda in between. Keep on doing this until enough baking soda has penetrated between the fingers and they are no longer stuck.
