Yellow pillows are pretty common in most households even though they are washed frequently because they can get pretty tough to get rid of unless you know the proper steps to remove them. When it comes to washing pillows and making them incredibly white again, I always use Clean Freak & Germaphobe‘s tips and hacks on YouTube because they are often pretty simple to follow, have straightforward steps, and are very detailed and informative, too. So, if you are also experiencing this kind of problem right now, you’re in luck, because the effective solution is here. Now, you can sleep more comfortably with an all-clean, white, and fresh-smelling pillow.
Step 1
Check the label attached to the pillow and read the washing directions, then if your pillow is washable, put it in the machine, and wash it on a gentle cycle with warm water. Add OxiClean to your detergent, then set it on the longest wash cycle that you have, and repeat another cycle if needed until all the yellowing is out.

Step 1
Make sure to use an extra rinse cycle in the setting that gets most of the water out, then once done, put the pillow in the dryer along with some dryer balls or tennis balls to break up the lumps, and use a very low heat setting or use air dry or air fluff. Dry it in multiple cycles until completely dry, then insert a pillowcase, and use them again. Watch the video tutorial for more details.
