DIY Seesaw Using An Old Tire Tutorial

Old worn-out car tires took a long time to decompose, and with plenty of cars getting junk every year, you could easily fill out landfills with just tires alone. Materials:

• old tire
• scaffold board
• hacksaw
• sanding paper
• scrap wooden blocks
• wood glue
• screws
• penny washers
• paint
• handles

Directions:

Step 1

To start, cut the tire in half by using a hacksaw. Set them aside. Next, cut some rounded corners to the scaffolding board. (To make it easier, mark around an old paint can or anything round to all the corners with a pen.) After this, sand down the board. Next, see where you should put the blocks on the board (they should fit the tire), then glue and screw them in place. After this, paint the board in any color you want.

Step 2

Let the paint dry and once it’s nice and dry, go ahead and attach the tire and secure it with screws and back them up with penny washers. Flip it over and add a couple of handles on both sides of the seesaw. Your DIY seesaw is now complete.
