How To Brighten Whites Naturally Without Bleach

Do your white laundries always look dingy and grungy even after washing them several times? Well, I’ve been there, and for a long time, I have been looking for a solution that is effective and at the same time simple. There are a lot of hacks and tips available on the internet, but I do not want to commit to using a lot of cleaning products that may do more harm than good. Luckily, I found this no-bleach and simple cleaning hack that requires no bleach by Andrea Jean Cleaning on YouTube! What’s even better is that you can also use one of these 2 methods to whiten not only your laundry but your couch, too.
Materials:
- Borax
- Downy Scent Beads
- Baking soda
- Vinegar
Directions:
Step 1
Sprinkle some downy scent beads all over the bottom of your machine followed by half a cup of borax, then throw in all of your whites, and put some detergent like you normally would. Wash and run on a warm or hot cycle, however, hot is recommended as it would help fight the staining process and whiten them better.

Step 2
Another method you can do is by using baking soda for whitening and vinegar to remove unwanted odor. Simply sprinkle about a third of a cup of baking soda all over the bottom of your machine’s drum, then add detergent as you normally would, and run it over a hot cycle. You can give it a little boost by adding half a cup of vinegar to the water once the drum is filled up.
