One of my favorite YouTuber The Stay At Home Chef made this incredible recipe that helped me impress my family over dinner! Her instructions were simple, straightforward, and very helpful. So if you want to level up your cooking and at the same time make it easier, simply follow this tutorial and try out this recipe.
Oven
Season all sides of the short ribs with salt and pepper. Then, place a heavy, oven-safe pot on a stove over high heat, and add in some olive oil. Sear the short ribs in the hot olive oil, about 1 minute per side until golden brown. Remove the ribs from the pot and set aside. Using the same pot, saute the onion for 3 to 5 minutes, until softened and translucent. Then, add in the garlic and saute for 1 more minute until fragrant. Pour in the beef broth, red wine (optional), and Worcestershire sauce, then let it simmer. Put the short ribs back onto the pan with the bone side down. Then, place a rosemary sprig on top. Cover the pan with the lid and transfer it to a preheated oven at 350°F for about 2.5 to 3 hours until the meat is tender.

Slow Cooker
Season short ribs with salt and pepper and sear in olive oil in a skillet on the stove over high heat. Transfer the seared short ribs to a slow cooker. Season it with garlic powder and onion powder to taste, then pour in the beef broth, red wine, and worcestershire sauce. Add a rosemary sprig, cover with lid, and cook on low for 8 hours, until the meat is fork tender.
Instant Pot Electric Pressure Cooker
Use the searing feature on the electric pressure cooker to sear seasoned short ribs. Saute onion until tender and add in garlic to saute 1 minute. Pour in red beef broth, red wine, and worcestershire sauce. Add on rosemary sprig. Cook on high pressure for 50 minutes, followed by a 10-15 minute natural release.
