To begin, you need to take some initial measurements.
Measure the height of your table first. When it’s all put together, it stands at a total height of 35″. Slide an inch-and-a-quarter-long piece of PVC pipe over the table. Please double-check your table dimensions before beginning any work. In order to raise it to 35 inches, you’ll need an extra six inches of length when you press it on.
As a result, each of the table’s legs will require a reduction of 12 inches. Cut each piece to length after you’ve measured everything. You can use whatever saw you have available to make four 12-inch-long pieces. You can cut w ith the miter saw. You could also use a hacksaw or PVC pipe cutter to make the cuts. Once you have all four equal lengths, you are ready for any finish you like. Let things be as is. When it comes to making it look more polished, you can also choose for a coat of black spray paint.
A PVC pipe cap, which adds about a quarter of an inch in height, is also an option but is not required. Make a test fit once you’ve cut a piece. You can twist the risers onto each leg and they’ll stay in place without slipping off, which is a wonderful feature. To remove them, twist and pull, and you’ll be able to view the table before and after the risers are put on.
After only a ten minutes of work, you’re done. If you include the pipe caps, your total material cost will be $5. Almost every folding table may be converted into a nearly counter-height surface. Because of its simplicity of design and the wide range of applications it serves, it’s suitable for a wide range of users.
